Operating Costs (Surprisingly Affordable)

Running the chiller costs less than what many people might expect. At a rate of $0.12 per kilowatt-hour (KWh), the monthly operational expenses typically range from $15 to $25. The chiller's compressor and fan activate only when cooling is required. Once the water reaches your desired temperature, they automatically shut off, leaving only the low-wattage pump running.

One common query we receive pertains to setting up the chiller on a timer. Ideally, it's best to maintain cold water consistently for several reasons:

  1. Bacterial Control: Cold water effectively controls the growth of bacteria, preventing the development of slimy surfaces in your chiller. This significantly reduces the frequency of maintenance required to keep your water clean for extended periods. Consequently, you'll need fewer water changes and lower levels of sanitizer (such as chlorine or hydrogen peroxide) to maintain water quality.

  2. Minimal Savings: If you're using the chiller regularly, any potential energy savings from turning it off periodically would likely be minimal. The heat accumulated during the 'off' periods still needs to be removed when you switch the chiller back on. So, while running may cost $18 to $28 per month, you might save only $3 to $5 per month by turning it off intermittently. However, this would necessitate more frequent water and filter changes, making it unlikely to result in a net cost savings.

  3. Pump Longevity: Turning off the power to the chiller also cuts power to the pump. Pumps experience the most wear and tear during startup, making them most prone to failure during this phase. Cycling the power to the chiller adds unnecessary wear and tear to the pump.

Order Cut-off Time and Handling

The order cut-off time is 5:00 PM PT, Monday to Friday. Orders received before this time will be processed on the same day, while those received after the cut-off will be processed on the next business day. Please note that our working hours are from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM PT, Monday to Friday.

Typical delivery time frames range from 7 to 14 business days; however, you may receive your items earlier. All orders come with a tracking number for real-time monitoring. Please anticipate possible delays beyond our control, such as customs or postal delays.

Your Order - What to Expect

As soon as you place your order, you will receive an “Order Confirmation” email, indicating that we have received your order.

We confirm with suppliers if your order is in stock and available for immediate shipment. Most pre-made saunas and accessories are ready for immediate shipment, while custom saunas may take longer (see Shipping Timeline below).

Once your order is confirmed and payment is processed, your order will be on its way (unless it is a special case sauna, as mentioned above). Tracking information will be sent on the day your order ships to the email address provided during checkout.

Shipping Details

Where We Ship

We currently offer free shipping only in the United States. Please reach out to us if you require international shipping.

"Manufacturer Direct" items are shipped from our warehouse in Shanghai and require a manufacturing and shipping time of approximately 30-45 days.

Upon Receipt of Package

  1. Before signing any paperwork, thoroughly inspect the items delivered to you.

    • Check for visible signs of damage, such as dents, scratches, or punctures. Note any damage when signing the delivery receipt, as a signed receipt without notations of damage represents acceptance of the complete order in perfect condition. Failure to report damage may result in delaying or refusing freight claims.
  2. Count all the pieces of your package and ensure they are accounted for.

    • Report any missing pieces within 48 hours by emailing directly at info@thesaunaworld.com or via our Contact Us page. This 48-hour window is vital, as we will not be able to replace missing pieces after this period.
  3. If "concealed" damages (damages not visible at the time of delivery) occur, report them immediately by emailing directly at info@thesaunaworld.com or via our Contact Us page.

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Returns

  • We offer a 30-day return policy on all items.
  • To return an item, please contact us within 30 days of receiving your order to request a return authorization number (RMA).
  • Once you have received an RMA, please ship the item back to us in its original packaging with all accessories included.
  • We will issue a full refund to your original form of payment once we have received and inspected the returned item. 
  • "Manufacturer Direct" items do not qualify for returns, if they're damaged during shipping or upon arrival, please contact us and we will refund you or send a free replacement

Restocking Fee

  • We do not charge a restocking fee on any returns.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, or damaged or if you receive the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

 

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

 

European Union 14-day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

 

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. You’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days if approved. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund.
